Course Description

This qualification is suited to those working as administrators and project officers. In this role, individuals use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

 Entry Requirements

  • All students must of the age of 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission
  • Entry in to this course requires IELTS band score of 5.5 or equivalent in line with DIBP regulations
  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy [LLN]

Prior to course commencement, every potential student’s English language skills will be assessed against current levels of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing proficiency to place them at the appropriate level

ASOC will conduct a LLN Test for each potential student. During this Test, if a student:

  • is assessed as needing additional LLN support, this will be provided during their course of study, or
  • is assessed as not having the appropriate English proficiency level for entry into this qualification, they will be required complete a preliminary English language course
  • A Pre – Enrolment Interview will be conducted after the student completes the LLN evaluation. This will ensure that the student will meet the requirements of the training product.

 Pathways into the qualification

Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include:

  • after achieving competency in any Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualification/s  OR
  • providing evidence of competency in the majority of units required for the BSB30115Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualification/s OR
  • with some vocational experience in assisting team leaders, supervisors or managers to conduct Business communication activities but without formal qualifications.

 Pathways from the qualification

  • Successful completion will enable the student to apply for BSB50215 – Diploma of Business
