Course Description

This qualification reflects professional accounting job roles in financial services and other industries. Individuals in these roles apply solutions to a range of often complex problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They apply initiative to plan, coordinate and evaluate their own work and guidance to others within defined guidelines.

 Licensing/Regulatory Information

Work functions in the occupational areas where this qualification may be used are subject to regulatory requirements.

This qualification includes units that comprise an approved Tax Practitioner Board (TPB) course in Australian taxation law and commercial law. Persons seeking registration with the TPB should check current registration requirements with the Board.

Entry Requirements

·          All students must of the age of 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission

·          Entry in to this course requires IELTS band score of 5.5 or equivalent in line with DIBP regulations

·          Language, Literacy and Numeracy [LLN]

Prior to course commencement, every potential student’s English language skills will be assessed against current levels of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing proficiency to place them at the appropriate level

ASOC will conduct a LLN Test for each potential student. During this Test, if a student:

·    is assessed as needing additional LLN support, this will be provided during their course of study, or

·    is assessed as not having the appropriate English proficiency level for entry into this qualification, they will be required complete a preliminary English language course

·          A Pre – Enrolment Interview will be conducted after the student completes the LLN evaluation. This will ensure that the student will meet the requirements of the training product.

After successfully completing the FNS50215 Diploma of Accounting, you can enrol in FNS60215 Advanced Diploma of Accounting
